RAS #342 – Best Of One!

This is going to be a different kind of podcast. On Ron’s Amazing Stories you will hear excerpts from episode #251 – Stagecoach, an outtake from The Horror Express and one scary story from episode #229 – The Night Run. Add two new chapters from our book Anything You Can Do by Randall Garrett and a few more surprises that should round things out.

Featured Story – Chapters 7 & 8 of Anything You Can Do?

This is a classic science fiction story written by Randall Garrett and published in 1963. An alien crash lands on Earth, and for ten years terrorizes the planet. Earth’s only hope is Bart Stanton, a medically-engineered superman, designed for the sole purpose of confronting the “Nipe”.

In the story so far we met the Nipe and seen what he can do. We have also met Bart Stanton the superhuman whose job it is to stop the Nipe. In this episode, we spend some quality one on one time with the Nipe and learn some of what it is planning. Also, we introduce a new character, and it’s not clear why. We play both chapters 7 and 8 this week.

RAS #339 – Backyard UFO

On Ron’s Amazing Stories this week we have what I think is the funniest story we have ever had. Add to that a UFO story, a history lesson from New England and Tom is back with Growing Up – A Short Story. Also, we continue with the Randall Garrett novel Anything You Can Do and of course a Five Minute Mystery.

On last week’s podcast we listened to chapter two of Anything You Can Do By Randall Garrett. I asked the question if we wanted to continue the book or move on to something else. I received several responses from folks that said that we should continue with the book. This is a classic science fiction story written by Garrett and published in 1963.

In the story so far we met an alien called a Nipe. He had his first encounter with human kind in form of a park ranger by the name, Wang Kulichenko. Who the Nipe quickly killed. In this episode, the authorities discuss the Nipe and the findings so far.
