RAS News Update - Blog Post

RAS on the Radio

The radio edition of Ron’s Amazing Stories has moved. We can now be heard on Sunday nights at 9pm Pacific time. At first glance, this may seem to be a setback. However, our show has been picked to be the kick-off program for a full slate of Old Time Radio programs. In other words, we are the headliner! I have been thinking about making some changes to the radio show and leaning heavier on OTR material there. Then I would use more listener stories and others on the podcast. My idea would be to advertise the podcast on the radio show. I am thinking that this might increase the numbers of the podcast listeners since the two would no longer be same. I have not talked this over with my radio producer yet and I sure would like to hear your feedback on this. You can leave your comments on Facebook or at ronsmazingstories.com.

The question of the Month

I have received a number emails about Ron’s Amazing Stories – The Archives. There seems to be some confusion about what they are. It is quite simple: Shows 1 through 100 are in the archives. Everything from show 101 to current is at ronsamazingstories.com. What I did was donate the first 100 shows to the public domain. If you want to visit the archives head to the main website and click the banner or head to archive.org and search for Ron’s Amazing Stories. This will give you the humble beginnings of the podcast.

This Week’s Podcast:

On the podcast this week we debut a brand new show called Hawk Larabee. Also, the segment ‘Johnny, Is It True?’ returns, and we have a listener story from Big Jimmy Calhoun. You can listen to this podcast on Thursday at Ron’s Amazing Stories, download it from iTunes, stream it on TuneIn Radio or on the mobile version of Spotify. Do you prefer radio? We are heard every Saturday night at 6:00 pm (EST). Check your local listing or find the station closest to you at this link.
