No Work Today, I have a Bug!

No Work TodayI know that I said in the past that there would be no more replays, but this week we have a replay. You see I got to spend a night in the emergency room and that has left me pretty down. The recovery is going slowly, but there is a plan in place. The good news is that this has nothing to with COVID 19. So, no worries there. I plan to be back in the recording studio next week, but if not I hope you will understand.

The replay I have decided on is probably my favorite show from last year. It is the 400th episode that features Jim Harold as co-host and we talk about UFOs. Jim and I listen to four amazing tales which include Oh My Orbs, UFO, Close Encounter, and My Seventh Summer (Sent in by my brother!). All stories were sent in by you. In fact, we have nothing but your stories in this one. I hope that you will enjoy it.

This Week On Ron’s Amazing Stories

Rons PictureWhat a crazy time we live in. I want you to know that here at Ron’s Amazing stories we are taking the one day at a time approach. I don’t dwell on the good, bad or focus on the future. I live each day knowing that we are all in this together and together we will get out of it. I hope you are safe and sound.

The podcast this week is a themed show today. We have had Bigfoot Week, The Dogman Story, The Chupacabra Story, The Thunderbird Story and then The Ghost Story. This week we tackle the elusive, The Orb Story which just might be my favorite of the supernatural tales. This all came about with an email I received from Dennis Turner from Tempe, Arizona.

Hello Ron, I love where you are taking the podcast these days. All of these great stories to enjoy during a time when things are crazy. Thank you for being my personal sanctuary. I have been going through the older episodes and found a new love for the ORB. It is crazy to think that only one thing can explain them all. Why do people have to have a single answer, when in fact I believe them to be multiple things. How do you feel about that?  – Dennis

Dennis, I could not agree with you more. You have given me food for thought and I have decided to dedicate this week’s episode to look at the ORB. Not just from a paranormal view but from fan fiction as well.  See you Thursday!

Does Ron Know His Stories?

Rons PictureI received this email from Ora Parker, who lives in Honolulu.

Hey Ron, these are strange times. I wanted to thank you for your podcast and ask a question. You play so many different types of stories and seem to know a lot about what you are presenting. How and why is that?  I get it if you don’t want to answer, but please do! – Ora.

First, let me say that I am an old guy. Being around awhile exposes you to a lot of stuff. Secondly, the first time I went to college I was an English major.  I took a lot of literature classes and in fact, loved every one of them. Later in life, I would audit writing and lit class just for fun. Yes, that makes me a nerd. I work as an editor now after years of working as an engineer. Both of these fields required me to do a lot of research. Think fact-checking, plagiarism checks, and general knowledge. Research is probably one of my favorite things to do. Every story that you hear on Ron’s Amazing Stories including those submitted by you guys I research as much as I can.  For example; I look at the town the person is from, look at the places they mention in their story, and verify as many facts as I can. I do this in the name of the podcast, but if the truth be told I love it all. Why? Because I am a nerd.

I think this answers how and why I know about the stories. But there is one more thing to add. I love reading and telling stories to people. I may not be an expert in everything I share, but I do that best I can to make sure I get it right.  Thank you for your question Ora.

Best Regards,

-Ron

RAS Response to COVID-19

Whats Next On Ron's Amazing StoriesHello Guys,

I don’t have to tell you about what is going on in the world, we all know about, read about, and hear about it all day. I am not an expert and if you want to know the truth I really don’t want to be. I believe that it is my job to do what they tell me and hunker down. But that doesn’t mean I don’t have a way to support you. That is why when you listen to the podcast you won’t hear me talking about the virus or even try to make sense of it all. I will just keep doing my job of presenting stories to take you away from today.

This week’s podcast is titled The Ghost Story. If you remember we have had Bigfoot Week, The Dogman Story, The Chupacabra Story, and The Thunderbird Story. A few weeks ago I asked for your ghost stories for an upcoming show with Alton Chung.  You came through in a big way and I have extras. This week we will use a few of those and have another edition of Ghost Stories with Sylvia. It should be a real spooky time!

So, please join me this week and tell your friends if they want and escape to join us as well. My very best to you and your family. Stay safe and healthy during these trying times.
