On the blog this time we have one of my favorite stories from podcasts past. This email comes from Branch a listener from Midland, Texas. I don’t know what it is about Texas, but either you guys really love the show or there is a whole lot of paranormal stuff going on down there.
Here is Branch’s Email:
Ron,

I am a cowboy of sorts and by that I mean of a sort. I work for a community gun range as an instructor and gunsmith. We take safety very seriously at our range, but no matter how careful you are accidents happen. A young man had just bought his pistol and did not quite understand the rules of the range. He fired his pistol downrange before the all clear was sounded. Unfortunately, I was clearing out targets at the time and was shot through my side. The last thing I remember was falling to the ground thinking that this was it.
They got me to the hospital in time but I had lost a lot of blood and it was touch and go for several days. One night I woke up and standing at the end of my bed was a cowboy dressed completely in black. His face was hidden and all I could see was his red eyes. It didn’t speak, but I knew why he was there. He was waiting for me. This happened every night for the next few days. Once he was right beside me with arm stretched out as if to take me away. I remember waking and telling him, “I’m not ready”.
The next night I awoke again and expected to see the ugly cowhand hanging over me like a vulture waiting for its dinner. To my surprise I saw my father standing there with a serene smile on his face. He took my hand and told me that I was going to be okay. His touch shot through me like a pistol and the warmth I felt I knew I could believe him. I went back to a comfortable sleep.
The next morning, I woke up feeling really good. I thought about the night before and then it hit me. My father has been dead for ten years. Do I know what really happened? Nope, but I made a full recovery and am now back at work. The guy who shot me? He was charged and also banned from the club.
Your Friend,
Branch
What can you say about a story like that? Incredible and amazing. I have heard tales like this before and each time they still send chills down my spine.
