A Thank You Note!

I thought that I would take a moment to thank you all for sharing your stories with the show. It is such a pleasure each day to open my mailbox and see what you have sent me. Of course, I don’t get new stories every day, but it’s not too far off that mark. That you want to support the podcast means the world to me and I truly do appreciate it.

I do get emails asking why it takes so long for some of your stories to air. I try to group them together in a theme if I can, and unfortunately, some of the stories are not appropriate for young people. I have been asked to start a podcast for the harder tales and call it Ron’s Naughty Stories. I may do that someday!

RAS #383 – The Moon Weed Part 1

On Ron’s Amazing Stories this time we have a discussion about radium, an update on the fabled UFO show, and we talk a bit more about how I put the podcast together. Our stories this week are amazing! We have beer drinking ghost, hard-souls on a carpet, and killer weeds from the moon. Also, Tom Williams is back with a fable he calls Life’s Perspective.

Featured Story – The Moon Weed – Part 1

A super scientist pits himself against the tightening web of the Plant-Beasts that he himself released from the Moon. Would he be able to save the world from a creature that seemingly can’t be killed?

Our featured story is called The Moon Weed. It first appeared in Astounding Stories #20 from August of 1931. What you will hear is part one of the tale. We will play the conclusion next week. I think you are going to like this one. I was completely drawn in an captivated by it, and I knew that I had to play it for you. It is read for us by a friend to the podcast, Mark Nelson.

The News – June 2019

UFO Project has a Date

You have been hearing about it, people have been asking about it, and now it finally has been scheduled. I was not able to book a UFOlogist for the show. Either I am not big enough or emails are not going through. I don’t know. None of the four even replied, and the one non-UFO guy politely declined. I have sent an email to the four people whose stories were being held for this show and they all agreed to my proposal. The show that will carry the UFO event will be the 400th episode of Ron’s Amazing Stories set to air on October 3, 2019. Yes, that is a bit in the future, but I have a surprise guest for that show, and it is going to be amazing! To Jim, Margarito, Scott, and Barbara I thank for agreeing to hold off on your incredible stories until then. More about this event as we get closer to October.

RAS Expands Its Borders

We have expanded yet again. Starting this week the show can be now be heard on Radio.Com. Not to be confused with RadioPublic, which I announced a few weeks back. Radio.com is a free broadcast and Internet radio platform owned by Entercom. They distribute over 235 radio stations from across the United States. It was originally created by CBS Radio and was then acquired by Entercom as part of the company’s takeover of their radio network. I tried to find the podcast on their website, but it does not show up yet. However, on the phone and tablet applications, we are listed. If you use their service please take a moment and subscribe to the show.
