Our OTR Story – A Killing in Abilene
Our OTR story has the feel of a classic Western. It also benefits greatly by a stellar performance by Alan Ladd. What we have is an episode of the classic series Suspense. It is sort of a ‘Revenge Western’, without the revenge part. The hero doesn’t want to kill his brother’s murderer but instead bring him to justice in a courtroom. A novel approach to be sure. The tale is called, A Killing in Abilene, and First aired on December 14, 1950.
