Wells and Jules Verne, but it was truly the pulp magazines of the 1930s to the 1950s that brought science fiction into the spotlight, inspiring countless readers with their thrilling tales.

In our first story today, “Operation Distress” by Lester del Rey, we explore the dangers of space travel and the ever-present fear of unknown diseases.
