Mia has an encounter with orbs and a shadow creature in the same night. What could it mean? Tune in and hear what Sylvia and Ron think about it. Also, Ron pays tribute to one of his favorite baseball players that just passed away. Willie Mays was an amazing player and a better man.

Our story was sent in via the submission page on the main website by Alicia from Maine. I love stories like these because they really bring home that there is more going on behind the veil than we can possibly imagine. Alicia has titled her story Promise Kept:
It was 1969. I was 17 and staying overnight at my friend Anne’s house. The home was a little Cape Cod cottage unique and unfamiliar to me. The evening went quietly as Anne and I planned the next day. We talked into the night and drifted off thinking of B.B. King coming to town.
I was sleeping across the room from her in a close but comfortable corner. The home was in an area where there were sounds of crickets singing their song last before the first frost. I was awakened suddenly by the sound of a woman crying. At first I thought it was my friend, but she was asleep in her bed. I became very frightened. There was a hint of moonlight coming through the window next to my bed. In-it showed a young woman with long dark hair wearing a white gown. Her head was down and her hair hung over her face. I couldn’t speak, but in my mind I asked her what was wrong. Her answer: “I need help.” There was no explanation of why. I told her I would help her. Her response: “You will!?” And she then disappeared.
I called my friend and startled her out of sleep. I asked her if she had been talking to me or walking about the room. I knew she hadn’t , but I was trying hard to deny what had just happened. I also did not tell my friend what had transpired. I couldn’t. I was 17 in Anne’s house for the first time, it was around 2 AM, and I couldn’t just walk the 6 miles back home. So I tried to go back to sleep.
Nearly a year later I was working in a bank after graduation from high school. I had heard Anne was pregnant and very scared. You need to know that in the ‘60’s , in some cultures, it was judged to be shameful to be pregnant and unmarried. I want to be clear that I was not ashamed of my friend. We had, however, lost touch as we had chosen different avenues to pursue. I heard through various acquaintances Anne was being mistreated by the baby’s father. He had promised to provide money and a place to live. But word was he squandered what he earned.
I mentioned I was working at a bank. Anne’s boyfriend applied for a loan to “ fix his car”. I had seen Anne briefly a few days before; she told me this guy was going to get a loan to help her. My inner voice warned me she’d never receive money from him. That evening I was working after hours with a loan officer who was well known for being a compassionate man. With the encouragement of a co- worker my own age, I told him about Anne, that the boyfriend was not the best of character, and frankly said I was afraid he’d take the money and run. The loan officer said he’d take care of it.
The next day the boyfriend came to the bank to collect the loan. The loan officer asked him to have a private conversation. I don’t know what was said, but the check was made out to Anne and mailed to her. I understand that as difficult as those days were, she fared well and had a home thanks to those funds. It wasn’t until years later I realized the weeping woman at the end of my bed that night was Anne in the future. I had kept my promise. – Alicia
Well, that is one of those stories that leave you a bit freaked out, but with a good feeling. I have to wonder where the child is these days and if he or she knows about what happened. I figure he or she would be in their early 50s. Thank you Alicia for sharing your story.
