RAS #456 – Graveyard Too!

Welcome to Ron’s Amazing Stories, but more importantly welcome to the 10th annual Month Of Spooky. On this show, we continue the theme from last week about the graveyard. We have a listener’s story from an Omaha cemetery and Jason Dowd joins us for another edition of The Paranormal With Jason. This time he updates us on his voodoo graveyard adventure and we hear his origin story. The tale of the Green Lady in Burlington, Connecticut.

About Jason Dowd – From an early age, Jason has loved his art. Over the years he has used various mediums, but none was more profound to him than photography. He finds inspiration wherever he goes because he keeps his eyes open for things that will make the perfect photo. Jason lives in the great state of Florida and has been a part of Ron’s Amazing Stories since the beginning. He first appeared on the podcast in episode #78 where he introduced us to his book A Haunted Soul: A True Story of One Man’s Struggle with the Paranormal. If that wasn’t enough Jason is our radio producer. He has been putting the podcast out on the radio for the last 5 years! Jason is also the CEO and founder of Gladys Goodies.

RAS #454 – The House That Death Built

On Ron’s Amazing Stories this time we have a scary encounter with Black Eyed Kids in a tale called Midnight Callers. JJ tells us about a dorm room ghost who is both a trickster and a shadow. We feature a classic OTR episode from The Shadow called The House That Death Built. So sit up, grab a beverage, and press that play button now.

Featured Story – The House That Death Built

Our featured story this week comes from the golden age of radio. One of the most popular series from that time was The Shadow. The show went on the air in August of 1930 and ran until 1954. Over the years various actors played the shadow including Bill Johnstone, Orsen Welles, and Bret Morrison who will play the part for us today. Our episode is titled The House That Death Built and first aired on January 25, 1948.

RAS #453 – Strange Encounters

This time on Ron’s Amazing Stories we travel to Kentucky for an encounter with a ghost girl in an abandoned air-raid bunker. Then we return to the Adolphus Hotel in Dallas Texas for another encounter with the jilted bride. How about Robin’s encounter with bigfoot on Vancouver Island. Do you see a pattern here? You should, the theme for the show is Strange Encounters. But we don’t stop there, we also have a classic story from the pen of Kurt Vonnegut and we end the show with a story from WWI about General George Patton.

Featured Story – 2Br02b

Our featured story this week comes from the creative mind of Kurt Vonnegut Jr. The story we will hear was suggested by listener Warren Silva. He thought it had a lot to say about our times and where we are going. I am not so sure about that, but I will say it is quite unique. It is titled 2Br02b and was first published in If Magazine in the January 1962 edition.
