RAS #488 – Ghost Story Throwdown

On Ron’s Amazing Stories this time Sylvia and I have a good old-fashioned showdown! Which of us can tell if the other has faked them out? We call this the Ghost Story Throwdown 2021. Also on the show is a shadow story from Madison, NC that just might be creepiest yet. You will have to decide that yourself. It is titled That Shadow Shot Me.

RAS #487 – The Country Tavern

On Ron’s Amazing Stories this time we have ghost stories and spend some time in space being afraid of The Nothing. If that doesn’t make any sense …It will later on. We have an epic story from James that follows a haunting in a restaurant in New Hampshire. This one is so good that I titled the podcast after it. The Country Tavern.

RAS #486 – Dead Man’s Planet

On Ron’s Amazing Stories we have a Near Death Experience from Chad and a story from Darren that just might have you believing in the paranormal (or least wanting a shave and a haircut). Our featured story is captivating. It first appeared in Galaxy Science Fiction in February of 1955. It is not like anything we have had before on the podcast. It presents a picture of the future that probably represents what space travel and planet-hopping will be like. It was written by William Morrison and is read for us by Mark Nelson. The story is titled Dead Man’s Planet.

Our featured story this week comes from the golden age of radio. Buck Rogers was initially broadcast as a 15-minute show on CBS Radio. It was a drama series based on the novel and comics series. What we have is a story that aired between April 5th through the 30th in 1939. It is titled The Gyro-Cosmic Realivator. Rogers must face off with Killer Cane who has taken Buck’s prototype of a brand new rocketship.
