On The Podcast This Week – 10/12/23

The Month Of Spooky 2023 continues with a special story from Curtis Henry. He encounters what can only be described as BigFoot. The problem is that Curtis is not from the states. This is a special story and one of the most frightening sasquatch adventures we have ever had on the show. Also, we revisit a series of These Are Your Stories from October of 2019. We have a haunted lighthouse, The Ghost Bride of Haynesville Road, and more! Finally, our featured story has been rated one of the creepiest of the golden age of radio. It is titled We Dug It Up and it reminds us that it just might be better to leave things underground.

There are more surprises to be had on the show so please tune in and give it a listen. The Month Of Spooky 2023

This week begins the Month Of Spooky 2023. I have themed podcasts ranging from ghost stories, monsters, and even some cryptids. We will have an extra podcast. The fans of the RAS requested a replay of the episode where Sylvia and I did a MST3k-Take of OTR classic The Thing On The Fourble Board. We will end the month with a very special Ghost Stories With Sylvia. Sylvia, Emma Lynn Dowd, and I will tell the story of my mom’s haunted doll. It is quite the adventure, and “spoiler-alert” ends with the doll becoming a permanent resident at the May-Stringer House. This is a haunted museum in Brooksville, Florida.  It should be a very spooky month.

News – August 22, 2023

The news this week is that my mother has been released from the hospital and has returned home. As you may already know, three weeks ago she fell and broke her hip. She is 97 years old. Her recovery is nothing short of a miracle! She still has a long road for a full recovery, and I am hopeful for the first time. Because of this I will be playing a full-hour episode of an episode of The Screen Directors Playhouse on the podcast this week. Thank you all for your prayers and support.

This Week’s Podcast:

On the podcast this week we will play the radio adaption of Shadow of a Doubt. It is a 1943 psychological thriller film directed by Alfred Hitchcock, and starred Teresa Wright and Joseph Cotten. The film was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Story. Our radio version follows the same plot and stars the great actor Cary Grant. This one has more twists and turns than I could even count. You can listen to this podcast on Thursday at Ron’s Amazing Stories, download it from Apple Podcasts, stream it on Stitcher Radio or on the mobile version of Spotify. Do you prefer the radio? We are heard every Thursday at 10:00 pm and Sunday Night at 11:00 PM (EST) on AMFM247.COM. Check your local listing or find the station closest to you at this link

News – August 1, 2023

This week my mother fell and broke her hip. I have been at the hospital and taking care of her and things that go along with that. Because of this there will not be a podcast this week. I hope to get back to work next week once I get her post surgery rehab all set-up and her settled in. Those of you that listen on the radio will get a replay. Thank you for all of the support that you have given. I have passed along all of the well wishes that I have received.
