The Horror Express Archives

A few years ago Jason Dowd and myself created a new podcast called The Horror Express. The idea behind it was that we would talk about all things horror and paranormal related. This was all done aboard a phantom ghost train run by the conductor. At first we didn’t know how well it would be received so we included these shows as part of the Ron’s Amazing Stories line-up. Jason and I loved doing these, but with our schedules it was difficult to do the hour and half programs. Add to the pot the post production that went into them we made only 21 episodes. We tried to do a shorter version of the podcast, but these just did not work. So, we came up with a new concept called The Paranormal With Jason. There are two completed episodes available.

We did not want to let The Horror Express die so we have donated these shows to the public domain and have posted them on Archive.org. There you will find all 21 of them waiting to be heard and enjoyed. You will find such topics as Black Eyed Kids, Vampires, and even Haunted Dolls. We are hoping to do more episodes, but for now the Horror Express is holding ground in the haunted trainyard.

Summer Break 2020

Hello All,

This week I am taking a bit of a break from the podcast. Not a full “no show” type of thing, but a scaled back version that I think you will enjoy. One of my favorite classic radio series is Dimension X from 1950-1951. There were only 50 shows created during its run and this Thursday you will hear two of them:

RAS #448 – Into The Darkness

This time on Ron’s Amazing Stories we take a walk on the dark side. We have three listener stories that include it in form or another. The first one just might be the creepiest story to date. Then we head to Glacier National Park to witness a rip in space and time, and finally, Tammy encounters an entity shrouded in darkness. Jason Dowd is back with the second installment of The Paranormal With Jason. Jason answers listener Camille’s question about time-slips. Do you think you can handle it?

About Jason Dowd – From an early age, Jason has loved his art. Over the years he has used various mediums, but none was more profound to him than photography. He finds inspiration wherever he goes because he keeps his eyes open for things that will make the perfect photo. Jason lives in the great state of Florida and has been a part of Ron’s Amazing Stories since the beginning. He first appeared on the podcast in episode #78 where he introduced us to his book A Haunted Soul: A True Story of One Man’s Struggle with the Paranormal.
