On Ron’s Amazing stories this week we have a special double feature. You will hear not one, but two episodes from the OTR series CBS Radio Workshop. The series brought together the cutting edges of writing, music, and sound. Overall it was a big hit, so much so that the whole world wanted it too. Thus the series made its mark on the golden age of radio.
The first story is titled Colloquy #1 – Interview with William Shakespeare. This one asks the question; What if you could chat with the man who wrote, Alas poor Yorick I knew him well? Our second story is called The Ballad Of The Iron Horse. It is an historical account of the beginning of the railroad, but with a twist. It is presented from the viewpoint of one of the trains that made the rounds, and is told in song.
