The Screen Directors Playhouse - The Fugitive

This week on Ron’s Amazing Stories we will bring you a captivating adaptation of the classic 1947 movie The Fugitive. The story is set in the 1920’s. Our radio version features Henry Fonda reviving his role as the nameless priest. He is a conflicted Catholic Priest who is a fugitive in an unnamed Latin American state where religion is outlawed. Another fugitive, a murderous North American bandit dubbed El Gringo, is both his protagonist and antagonist. I don’t want to give the whole story away, but suffice to say that El Gringo is not the priest’s only problem. It first aired on The Screen Directors Playhouse on July 12, 1951. So, join us this Thursday for an emotional yet thrill packed hour filled with twists, turns, and high-stakes drama.
