Well this time we have a UAP story that is going to be hard to believe. It all begins with Raul Murphy who lives in Canyon, Texas. He has titled it, Never Drive Alone On Interstate 40. But, before I get to it. I really don’t understand why we now call UFOs UAPs. Unidentified Flying Objects verses Unexplained Aerial Phenomena. I guess we just got tired of the term UFOs. Here is Raul’s UAP story.

I was home when the news came. My mother was very sick and had to be taken to the hospital. My wife and I decided that I needed to go and that she would stay home with the kids. I live in Canyon, Texas and my mom is in Oklahoma City, which is about 4 hours away. I packed up, jumped into my 2007 Ford F150, and set out. For the next four hours I would be driving on Interstate 40. It is a very long, boring stretch of highway. I made the trip in record time and went directly to the hospital. For the next six hours it was touch and go, but my mom made it through surgery and I was told that she would make a full recovery. I stayed on for a few days to make sure she had the care she would need and then prepared for my trip home.
It was late Saturday afternoon when I set out. The weather was perfect, not too hot or too cold for September. I made my way back to Interstate 40 and settled in for my drive. This was in 2009 so it was before your show, but I did have an audiobook to listen to. It was western by Louis Lamar and it had my complete attention. It was a story about a gunfighter who had to live with a target on his back. Louis must have liked that theme a lot. I remember that the hero was stuck behind a water trough and doomed to die. That is when it began.
It was getting towards night and the sun was low in the sky. Lights came up behind me so very quickly that it caught my attention. I looked up into the rearview mirror and I saw a series of lights that spun in a counterclockwise motion. It wasn’t like anything I had seen before so I slowed down, to let him pass. I wanted to see this thing. However they just blinked out and that was followed by a sonic boom. I was startled and pulled over to the side of the road. I got out of the truck and looked around. There was nothing. Then I looked up into the night sky. Floating there about 300 feet away was a dark disc shaped object. It just hung there and it made no sound at all. I was terrified. It was so close and I knew that deep down that I was in trouble. I headed back into my truck and as I grabbed the door handle my world lit up. I felt myself lift up into the air. Then nothing. Complete utter blackness.
I woke up in my truck driving. It was late and that audiobook was still playing. I had no idea where I was, what time it was, and for a long minute who I was. I pulled over and shook my head. It just so happens there was a road sign right in front of me. It read Amarillo Texas Five miles. That is about 18 miles from Canyon, my hometown. I sat there for a few minutes and then started up the truck and dove home. Which took me about 25 minutes.
What happened? I don’t know. As near as I can figure I lost about three and half hours. I had heard stories like these before so that week I set up an appointment with my doctor. I got a complete physical and was declared in perfect health. Mentally? I am not sure I have ever recovered. I have a fear of driving alone and to this day I don’t go to mom’s place without my wife. – Raul Murphy
