Happy New Year – 2020

Happy New Year From Ron's Amazing StoriesWe begin a new year of podcasting this Thursday. I have to say thank you to all of you for another great year. This past year has seen a number of improvements to the show and a healthy uptick in followers.  More of you are listening every week in more places. My hope for this next year is we continue to expand and tell amazing stories to the entire world!

On the podcast this week we begin 2020 with a show filled with stories.  We have a creepy story about a haunted limousine, a haunted Red Room, and I tell a true-life tale that actually happened to me. I even have pictures to prove it!

RAS #414 – Creepy Pictures

On Ron’s Amazing Stories this time Jason and Ron head back to the Horror Express for a chat about Creepy Pictures, Past Lives, and Ghost Hunting. They answer your questions and Jason tells us about the night he spent in his Great Aunt’s 200-year-old manor house.

Show Note Links: Taken from life: The unsettling art of death photography and Jason’s Death Photography Photos.

The Horror Express with Jason Dowd – Art is a way of life for Jason. From an early age, he created various forms of artwork using various mediums, but none was as profound to him for his own work than photography. He finds inspiration wherever he goes because he keeps his eyes open for things that will make the perfect embellishment for a photo or looks for the story that inspires him to tell it to the world as only he can.

Subject – Death Photos

Camera 1800'sThe art of death photos can be traced back to the invention of the Camera in 1816. People wanted to have a keepsake of their loved ones. As creepy as it sounds taking pictures after death made sense to people and some of those photos are worth big dollars today. On the podcast this week Jason and Ron take a look at this practice and shed some light on why it was done. Also on the show, we cover your questions about ghost hunting and past lives.
